9/5/2023 0 Comments Snipping tool not openingThe old Snipping Tool was a manually installed app, and you could set a separate shortcut key for it in order to launch it. And using Win + SHIFT + S makes it behave the same - you get opened directly to the snipping part, but it only saves to clipboard, and you then have to click it to have it open in the app to mark up and save. For whatever reason (I suppose because by default Print Screen uses the clipboard even if not tied to the Snipping Tool), the use of the short cut key for Snipping Tool ties it in with the normal Windows function of sending output from Print Screen to the clipboard.
